Use the Audio pane in the video editor to set how loud your microphone and your computer's sound are, and to turn on audio effects.
Open the Audio pane
- Open your video and click Edit video.
- Click Audio on the right-hand side of the editor.
Set the levels
Under Levels, each sound source in your recording has its own card:
- Camera — your microphone.
- Presentation — your computer's sound (screen audio).
Drag a card's slider to make that source louder or quieter. The percentage shows its level. Click the icon at the left of a card to mute that source, and click it again to unmute it.
A card only shows when your recording has that sound. If the pane says No audio, nothing in the video has microphone or screen audio.
Turn on audio effects
Under Effects, each effect has its own switch:
- Ducking — keeps your microphone in front and lowers your computer's sound while you speak. It needs a recording with both your microphone and your computer's sound. Otherwise it shows "Needs both camera and screen audio".
- Enhanced Studio — noise removal, voice isolation and EQ leveling. If it shows "Not available for this preview", enhanced audio isn't ready for this recording yet, or was never prepared for an older recording.
You can use both effects together. When Ducking is on, Airtime mixes your audio, and the pane shows the progress until the mix is ready.
⚠️ Note: To use Ducking, record your computer's sound — see How can I include my computer's sound in an Airtime Recorder recording?
Save your changes
Click Save changes in the top right corner. The new sound is what people hear when they watch your video, and what you get when you download it. Your original recording stays as it is, so you can change the levels and effects again at any time.
If the audio mix fails
If the pane shows Preview failed, click Retry. If you closed the Audio pane, a message Audio mix failed appears instead. Click Open Audio to go back and try again.
