If the Airtime virtual camera feed still looks different from the app after reviewing your video conferencing app settings, check these macOS settings to turn off any unwanted camera effects.
When any macOS camera effect (e.g. the Portrait mode) is enabled for any camera in Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, the effect is automatically applied to all cameras you select. To ensure your Airtime video feed looks correct, follow these steps:
- Quit Airtime and the video conferencing app.
- Open your video conferencing app and go to the Video Settings.
- Switch to a different camera (e.g., your Mac's built-in FaceTime Camera).
- Click the green camera icon in the macOS menu bar.
-
You should see that the video conferencing app, such as zoom.us, is using the camera. Check if Portrait or any effect is turned on. If so, turn it off.
- Switch the camera back to Airtime in the video conferencing app and check if the camera feed is now displayed correctly.
